Art has a way of subtly shaping our perspective. Whether a profound performance on a world famous stage or an obscure back-alley gallery showing an even more obscure artist, experiencing art leaves lasting imprints on our daily experience. Often times it is the star performer or the obscure artist that most obviously impacts however, rarely do we consider why or how this impact was made. That is precisely the job of an Art Administrator.
Ray is the woman behind the scenes writing press releases, managing budgets, fundraising, organizing volunteers, making labels, and herding cats into one cohesive choral meow that makes the experience of art timeless. Is the lighting “just right,” are the show cards distributed, have all parties signed contracts? These are the questions that she has the answers for.
Her name is Ray, and she is an Arts & Culture Administrator.
